Medicsight are pioneers in the development of enterprise-wide computer-aided detection (CAD) and image analysis software used by the imaging community to aid in earlier detection of disease.
Much of what Medicsight does has been driven by the growth and proliferation of MDCT and MRI in recent years. The impact on medical imaging and radiologists is that today they are faced with massive increases in the number of images to review and new types of study which have lengthy interpretation times. This means that to have the right tools and technology available to assist in improving productivity without reducing accuracy has become a necessity rather than a luxury.
Already, CAD is recognised as being a technology that can make a significant difference in helping deal with some of the productivity challenges laid in front of radiologists. Medicsight is committed to bringing that technology to the medical community and making it available across the imaging enterprise which meets the challenges faced by radiologists and other medical imaging professionals.
Medicsight’s CAD products include ColonCAD, the first CAD technology available for CT colonography, and LungCAD. Both products allow users to perform a concurrent-read that allows clinicians to review the original image simultaneously with the Medicsight CAD findings, which results in improved workflow and productivity. These products have been designed to integrate into core of leading 3D workstations, PACS and a new web based imaging platform, MedicRead that can be instantly downloaded and used wherever it is required providing cost effective access to CAD.
Medicsight is dedicated to ensuring that its products meet the needs of the market, now and in the future and collaborate with a number of leading institutions and organisations worldwide to develop and promote CAD in a clinical setting through extensive clinical study programmes and clinical education.
