Description
This intensive practical course will focus on the most common current indications for liver imaging – cirrhotic patients, oncological patients, patients at no risk with incidental findings and response to therapy of liver tumours. The attendees will be encouraged to participate in the interpretation of over 50 real-life cases with hands-on feedback from an international faculty of experts. The cases will range from intermediate to advanced complexity.
The course outline will consist of 5 steps:
Step 1 – Virtual kick-off workshop in Zoom (November 9, 2023)
Step 2 – Pre-course self-assessment test for participants
Step 3 – Independent reviewing of cases
Step 4 – “Meet the expert” hands-on feedback session (December 11 and 12)
Step 5 – Post-course self-assessment test for participants
Aims
To provide participants with variety of cases in an informal and interactive setting via an online PACS solution.
To reproduce the PACS work environment with availability of experts for questions.
To propose an alternative and innovative learning methods based on active involvement by participants.
Target group
Radiologists with a good basic knowledge of cross-sectional imaging who want to improve their skills on liver imaging.
Learning Objectives
- Interpret patient cases in DICOM format.
- Develop expertise in the diagnostic evaluation of a range of focal and diffuse liver diseases in cirrhotic patients, oncological patients and in patients at no risk with incidentally found liver lesions.

The number of participants per workshop is limited and registrations will be accepted on a first come first served basis. Together with the registration payment is necessary. Registrations as radiologist in training (Residents) must be accompanied by a confirmation of the head of the department confirming the status as Resident.
Insurance
Participants have the opportunity to take out insurance for the registration fee only. This insurance applies in case of an unforeseen cancellation of participation and can be taken out together with the online registration.
