Description

Aim

This workshop will provide a practical approach on how to manage the diagnostic work-up of gastrointestinal cancers in daily practice. It aims to deliver a comprehensive review of gastrointestinal tract cancers, focusing on oesophagogastric, small bowel, colorectal and anal cancer, and a multimodality imaging approach with  pathologic correlation. The format of the workshop will include lectures and interactive clinical case-based discussions that will highlight key aspects of staging and post treatment assessment, and the strengths and limitations of imaging.

Learning Objectives

  • To learn the current management of patients with oesophaogastric, colorectal and anal cancer and the complications of treatment
  • To understand how imaging impacts on management decisions and the evidence base for imaging practice
  • To develop a structured interpretation and reporting approach for staging and restaging and post treatment complications

Target Audience

Radiologists-in-training, Radiologists
