ESGAR proudly collaborates with its sister societies in Europe and around the world.
The Abdominal Radiology Group Australia and New Zealand (ARGANZ) organisation is a not-for-profit group uniting radiologists from Australia and New Zealand with an interest in imaging and image guided treatment of patients with diseases of the abdomen.
ARGANZ presents an annual scientific meeting, which caters to all general and specialist practitioners in Abdominal Imaging.
The Asian Society of Abdominal Radiology is dedicated to promoting and coordinating the scientific, intellectual and professional activities of radiology in all Asian countries. The society's mission is to serve the health care needs of the general public through the support of science, teaching and research and the quality of service in the field of Asian radiology.
The British Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (BSGAR) is a Special Interest Group of the Royal College of Radiologists and provides a forum for imaging, intervention and research in the care of patients with abdominal disease.
The Canadian Society of Abdominal Radiology (CSAR) is a network of Canadian radiologists with an interest in abdominal radiology. The society strives to encourage educational, research and administrative connections to maintain the highest standards of abdominal radiology across Canada.
The purpose of the Society of Abdominal Radiology (SAR) is - among others - to stimulate investigation and teaching in the methods of preventing and treating diseases within the abdomen and pelvis and to enhance the study and practice of abdominal radiology by establishing lectureships, scholarships, and foundations in abdominal radiology.
The Spanish Society for Abdominal Imaging Diagnosis (SEDIA) was established in 2001 as a section of SERAM. It's a professional medical-scientific organisation that defines various guidelines, conducts workshops, manages a research division named Sedia Investiga, and publishes an official magazine titled 'Radiología Abdominal'.
The Société d'Imagerie Abdominale et Digestive (SIAD), is a society affiliated with the French Society of Radiology. The purpose of this association is to promote abdominal and digestive imaging, diagnosis and therapy by organising scientific meetings, teaching and training courses, by helping to train young medical specialists, by helping research work, and by promoting interdisciplinary exchanges.
ESGAR has collaboration agreements with different clinical societies and organises and/or actively contributes to workshops, guideline development and publications in partnership.
To advance radiology and promote the professional careers of its members, the ESR publishes high-quality journals that offer valuable insights, research findings, and developments in the field. ESGAR fellows and members are represented in the editorial boards of all journals.
The ESR’s flagship journal with an impact factor of 5.9 updates scientific knowledge by publishing the latest clinical research in all fields of medical imaging. All ESGAR Members in good standing have free electronic access to European Radiology directly from their Personal ESGAR Account!
Insights into Imaging
The ESR’s gold open access journal is dedicated to critical science and reviews that advance the practice of radiology and has an impact factor of 4.7. The abstracts of scientific presentations at the ESGAR annual meetings are published as a supplement in Insights into Imaging.
