Aims and Description
This online workshop aims to provide a deep dive into the application of artificial intelligence in medical imaging, specifically focusing on radiomics. The program begins with an introduction to machine learning, laying the groundwork for more advanced topics. Attendees will learn about image segmentation techniques and radiomics extraction, essential components for developing robust AI models. The workshop also covers practical aspects of AI implementation, such as model training, tuning, validation, and deployment. Expert speakers, will share their knowledge and experiences, ensuring that participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the subject. The event includes interactive Q&A sessions, providing opportunities for attendees to engage with the experts. Additionally, a session dedicated to the technical perspective of translating radiomics into clinical practice will highlight the real-world applications and challenges of this cutting-edge technology.
Practical session:
Demonstration of the different steps on how to develop a radiomics signature with a clinical example focusing on a public dataset on Colorectal cancer and CT with Q & A.
Participants interested to go in depth we will be offered guidance and support after the workshop.

CME Accreditation
The ESGAR Virtual AI Workshop: How to develop a Radiomics Signature, Virtual, Austria, 11/12/2024 - 11/12/2024 , has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 6.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.”
“Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association,
physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the
process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at edhub.ama-assn.org/pages/applications.
“Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to beAccredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.”
